School History

Thompson Sixth Grade Center began in 2009 for sixth graders in the Alabaster area. The building is the former Thompson High School. The high school used the building from 1952-1987 until moving to its new location. While the building has gone through other uses, it has been remodeled for use as a sixth grade center. After leaving TSGC, students will attend Thompson Middle School.

Around 500 students and 30 teachers make up the family of Thompson Sixth Grade Center.

In the summer of 2013, Thompson Sixth Grade Center became a part of the Alabaster City School system.
